Fall Semester 2010: Intermediate Algebra

This high school component of algebra provides students with prerequisite skills necessary for success next semester in the PSEO College Algebra course.  The primary goals of the class are to provide students with the fundamental concepts of algebra, with emphasis placed on solving equations and inequalities and utilizing the graphing calculator as a tool for mathematical exploration.

Spring Semester 2011: PSEO College Algebra

Chapter 1: Functions and Graphs
Chapter 2: Polynomial and Rational Functions
Chapter 3: Exponential and Logarithmic Functions
Chapter 4: Systems of Equations and Inequalities
Chapter 5: Matrices and Determinants
Chapter 6: Sequences, Series, and Probability

Course Calendar

Tentative dates for when each topic is addressed are available now in the syllabus.  The specific dates of the short-cycle assessments and unit tests are subject to change as the school schedule becomes known throughout the year.  Things like assemblies, late starts, professional development days, etc. may affect the exact date the scheduled tests are given and these alterations will communicated through the daily agendas.

Supplemental Textbook Resources

Student Success Organizer  -  A highly recommended graphic organizer of all the key concepts covered in every section of the textbook.  Use this in preparation for the next day's class discussion. 

ACE Practice Tests Online - A GREAT resource to check your understanding of the key concepts covered in every section of the textbook.  Plus, there is a review section to brush up on your skills from prerequisite classes.
