    c.  Distribute Developmental Work Habits Scoring Guide
    d.  Distribute Course Syllabus
    e.  Distribute SWF Agreement Forms
         f.  Notify:  Formative pre-test tomorrow on Unit 1: Linear Functions
  3. Workshop
    a.  Class discussion about policies and procedures which will guide our learning this year
         i.  Quality Core course content benchmarks
        II.  Required materials: textbook, writing utensils, notebook paper, data
    notebook and dividers (to remain in the classroom)
       iii.  Graphing calculators - TI-84 version used at CHS!
       iv.  Daily class routine: bell task, business, workshop, exit task - DW GRADE
        v.  Absences, interruptions, and make-up work
       vi.  Grade calculations
      vii.  SWF and rubric grading system - department-wide  (Agreements!)

    a.  Collect any syllabus signature slips (or office forms, or Internet Agreements)
    b.  Directions for taking pre-test; DO NOT GUESS!  LEAVE BLANK IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO THE PROBLEM
  3. Workshop 
    a.  Take formative pre-test for Benchmark 1: Linear Functions
    b.  Peer grade
    c.  Reaction to pre-test: know none, some, a lot, all
    d.  If time permits, practice creative problem solving skills
  4. Exit Task
    a.  Brainstorming exercise
