1.  Is the essay focused on a single describable subject?  If so, what is it?  If not, tell the writer how to fix that.

 

 

 

 

2.  Is the essay well organized and easy to follow?  If yes, just say so.  If no, suggests ways for the writer to better organize his/her essay.

 

 

 

 

3.  Is the essay well developed with specific, pertinent detail and telling facts?  If yes, quote three of them here.  If no, suggests at least three places the author could add them.

 

 

 

 

4.  Does the essay convey a clear central impression?  If yes, what is it?  If no, tell the author what seems to be missing.
