3. Viewer's Workshop
    a. Finish OMM Movie & View Parodies
    b. Journal: List three key differences between the book and the movie. For each difference, tell how the change affects the story, characterization, etc.
    c. Discuss journal
4. Writer's Workshop (If time...)
     a. View excellent "Marigolds" posts on eCampus.
     b. Read and discuss what they do well.
5. HW: Check out "Marigolds" comments on eCampus. Leave a note so I know you were there.

    a. Prewriting & Prep for Character Sketch for Of Mice and Men.
        1) Assign: Create thesis for George or Lennie.
        2) Assign: Collect all needed quotes/passages needed for your analysis.
            *Graphic Organizer available for this.
            *Outline your essay if you finish early.
     b. Both due Thursday.
4. HW: Thesis & Quotes / Passages for OMM Char. Sketch due Thursday.

Wednesday 10/20

3. Writer's Workshop: Absolute Monarchy Game
    a. In English: Writing Clear Directions - everyone should be involved in this.
        *If you finish early, you may work on other aspects of your project, your Character Analysis Outliner, or HW for another class.
    b. In World Studies: Organizing groups and understanding the assignment.
    c. In Math: Creating your box.
    d. In Spanish: Culture Lesson (non-IDU) or just IDU Worktime.

    a. CLEW - emphasis on literary analysis supplemental info.
         1) Link with examples.
         2) Extensive link for lit. analysis.
         3) Good summary page from Purdue's OWL.
    b. Analyze student samples from eCampus for CLEW.
    c. DUE: Thesis and quotes/passages.
        *Special note about Lit Devices: You CAN go outside the 5 Methods of Characterization - Example: Lennie and Figurative Language.
    d. Assign: Outline your essay.
