Monday 3/15

1. Journal/Bell-Ringer: Summarize your progress on the Frankie paper.  Write down any concerns you may have.
2. Business: Turn in (hang up) Memorial Tile if needed.
3. Writer's Workshop I: Kick in the RIR Nomination
    a. Assign: Persuasive 3-Paragraph Essay
        1) Intro with thesis (in the case, nomination)
        2) Body Paragraph = the 3 Majors with Examples (minors)
            *Specific Examples
        3) Conclusion with restated thesis and final comment.
    b. Revise and turn in tomorrow.       
4. Writer's Workshop II: Frankenstein Essay
    a. General Comments & Observations
        1) [sic] - What does it mean when I use this when I quote your work on eCampus?
        2) No contractions and be sure to fix your spelling.
        3) Using text for psychological analysis.
        4) Do not forget the rubric!
    b. 10 are done - 5 more each night. 
        1) Papers will be uploaded to eCampus by end of the week.
        2) You will be required to bring a printed copy of your essay to class Thursday so be ready for that.
    c. Answer questions.
5. Reader's Workshop: Night
    If time, distribute and examine background handout (non-digital - must get in class).
6. HW: 1) Finish RIR Paragraph; 2) Work on Frankie Char. Essay.

Tuesday 3/16
Shortened Period (41 mins) due to academic pep rally.

    b. Return all work and distribute grade sheets.
3. Reader's Workshop: Night
    a. Background handout (non-digital - must get in class).
    b. Assign: Study Guide - will be due as we read.
    c. Assign: Read: E.W. Preface to Night. Read and mark text now, if time.
4. HW: 1) Read E.W. Preface to Night; 2) Work on Frankie Char. Essay.

Wednesday 3/17

2. Business: Bring printed copy of your essay to class tomorrow!
3. Reader's Workshop: Night
    a. Wiesel Bio Video.
    b. Take notes on key points.
    c. Discuss video & preface.
    d. Assign: Read & Study Guide Ch. 1 of Night pp. 3-22 - due Friday.
        *If time in class, read & mark now.
4. HW: 1) Work on Frankie Char. Essay; 2) Read & Study Guide Ch. 1 of Night pp. 3-22 - due Friday.
