Business: Reminder: Find a novel that focuses on courage.  Fiction or bio is fine.  If you can focus on a particular person (biography), that would be ideal. Due: tomorrow.

Courage Unit Intro Project: The Mitty Daydream Skit
    a. Use rubric as prep checklist - teacher led.
    b. What is left to do?
    c. Get organized.
    d. Create final schedule and due date - due Thursday.
    e. For script format, use format in literature book - let's keep this simple.
    f.
Create, revise, practice, timing
    g. Store props and costumes.

1) Whatever is needed for your play; 2) Courage Novel (CN) due tomorrow.
Tuesday 2/8

    b. Assign: eCampus responses 1 & 2.
    c. Assign: Read 15% of book by Friday - Bring novel with you to class tomorrow & everyday after.
    d. Reminder: Skits due Thursday.

Friday 2/11 - Interim Day

    a. Announce: Going to need Night very soon - make sure you have it.
    b. Announce: Grade sheets Monday since you'll have LOTS of new points in by then.
    c. Assign: 10 words and 10% more by Monday.
    d. Remove: Skit materials today and Monday.

3. Mitty Skit Workshop

    a. Finish any skits needed.
    b. Take Mitty Skit Follow-Up Quiz
    c. Summary of lessons learned: Public Speaking, Collaboration (how did you handle absences, difficult partners?), Use of Time, ability to meet deadlines,  Literary Skills (verisimilitude, irony, dialogue, writing/story board process, theme).

4. Reader's Workshop
    a. Data from exam: What we do well - theme; what we need to work on - vocabulary reading skills.
    b. Assign: 10 words so far - just find them.
    c. Assign: 10% more of CN by Monday.
    d. Work on vocab and reading (SSR) until bell.

5. HW: 1) Find 10 words of "interest" by M; 2) Read 10% more of CN by M.
