Tuesday 1/4 - Begin 3rd Quarter

1. Journal/Bell-Ringer: Discuss the importance and sources of character in good story telling together. Then, write: Create the beginnings of a character you would like to see in a story - particularly the story you are going to write.
2. Business: nothing new
3. Suspenseful Narrative Workshop
    a. Use your initial character invented in today's Bell-Ringer.
    b. Develop your character: 20 Questions (teacher led).
    c. We will get to 13 today and finish tomorrow in class.
4. HW: none

Wednesday 1/5

1. Journal/Bell-Ringer: What does your character want? What would he/she be willing to do to get it? To say it another way, what sort of moral decision maker is your character?
2. Business: nothing new
3. Suspenseful Narrative Workshop
    a. Finish 20 questions to develop your character.
    b. Review District Rubric to see what we are getting into.
    c. Assign: Plot Planner.
        1) Begin together with explanations.
        2) Finish for HW.
4. HW: Finish Plot Planner.

Thursday 1/6

1. Journal/Bell-Ringer: none
2. Business: nothing new

3. Suspenseful Narrative Workshop
a. Writing RD.
b. Check: Plot Planner &/or drafting progress as time allows.

c. Teacher conferencing for story and exam extended response.
