    a. Check in Staying Fat for Sarah Byrnes - put name in front cover in marker.
         *We will begin this on January 21! (Book orders come in the 20th.)
    b.  Independent Reading Follow Up Project due tomorrow.
         1) Don't lose your prewrites, story boards, outlines, drafts, etc.
         2) If you have a computer transfer problem, let me know.
3. Registration Workshop
    a. Review requirements and answer any initial questions.
    b. Due date for materials: Signature Day: Thursday, January 21.
        *You must draft this first - you will get your actual schedule later.

    b. Learn and play the metaphor game.

    c. Get that schedule ready!
3. Literary Workshop: Figurative Language
    a. Review metaphor: tenor & vehicle - maybe a round or two of the metaphor game.
    b. Assign: Mother to Son & Questions - due end of the period or Monday.
4. HW: Finish Mother to Son questions if needed.
