Application Assignment: create RD for the following WS prompt: What makes Absolute Monarchs ineffective leaders? (20 minutes).
    b. Review the World Studies Perfect Paragraph outline and annotated sample.
    c. Revise your original RD and create FC in MLA style.
    d. Due in World Studies class tomorrow.

4. HW: Finish World Studies Perfect Paragraph FC to turn in tomorrow in World Studies.

Thursday 9/10

 

1. Journal/Bell-Ringer: In a 5-7 sentence paragraph, tell me: "Where are you from?"

    a. Organization Checks this Friday: planners (I think!)
    b. Have Of Mice and Men by next week.

Writer's Workshop - Personal Creative Writing

    a. Where I'm From handout.

    b. Read and review poem - jot ideas about the poem down as you (we) read.

    c. Generate ideas for poem together - use as your prewriting.

    d. Come up with your "hook"

    e. If time, write RD - no need to do for HW.

Friday 9/11

    b. Finish any prewriting.

    c. Come up with your "hook"

    d. Write RD.
    e. Get materials needed to create a poem poster.

4. HW: Finish poem RD if needed and collect pictures, etc for poem "poster."
