Creative Writing Semester Exam 1999-2000

PART I: Creative Narrative (75%)

You have already completed this as your final narrative piece.

The narrative is graded by the criteria established by the class with the assignment.

PART II: Poetry (25%)

A. Choose your two best poems from among the four we have already composed. Turn in the final copies for those two poems along with their marked rough drafts.

B. Compose two new poems of your choice using the writing process.

All poetry will be graded based on the criteria included with the Metaphor Poem handout.

Turn in all draft work with the poems.

Good luck, relax, and be creative! I’m not doing surgery here; all I want to see is some artistic expression.
