Journal: What are some of the small things that really irritate you in everyday
life? Describe them. What do you think makes each so annoying?

Poetry Workshop: Revision of Guided Imagery Poem
a. Reading and directed review your poem –
write answers on your poem or on the back:
1) Does it capture the exact emotion
you wanted? How?
2) How many of the five senses does
your poem use? Try for five if you can.
3) Write down three words from you poem
you think are particularly good word choices.
Tell why each is so good.
b. Revision – no matter how good, make it
better!
1) Now, revise your poem paying
particular attention to imagery and diction.
2) You may ask for good words aloud – I
will look them up for you!
3) Get a peer reader to review your
poem once more.
c. RDs and RRDs checked today – tomorrow
with FC if needed.
d. Final copy of Regular Version only due
tomorrow on non-lined
paper.
