1. Journal/Bell Ringer: none

2. Business: Correlated Writing: RRD due Wednesday.

3. Medieval Values Workshop

    a. Finish Movie: Monty Python & the Holy Grail

    b. Read "Le Morte d' Arthur" - then follow up with MPHG Online Journal by end of next week.

    c. Bring all Correlated Writing materials to class tomorrow - especially at least two sources.

4. HW: 1) Correlated Writing Research and Drafting; 2) Read "Le Morte d' Arthur" & complete MPHG online journal by the end of next week.

Tuesday 3/10

1. Journal/Bell Ringer: none

2. Business:

    a. Correlated Writing: RRD due Wednesday.

    b. Reminder: MPHG online journal due by end of next week.

3. Correlated Writing Workshop

    a. Groups meet to share resources and ideas for papers.

    b. Assign: MP & the Holy Grail online assignment: Due by end of next week.

4. HW: 1) Correlated Writing Research and Drafting (RRD due in class tomorrow); 2) MPHG Online assignment due by end of next week.

Wednesday 3/11

1. Journal/Bell Ringer: In today's lesson!

2. Business:

    a. Assign: Renaissance Study Guide - 10 Q's & answers (Strive for depth; key concepts) DUE: anytime next week.

    b. Assign: Upload your RD to our website tonight w/ your 5 questions as notes.

    c. FC of Correlated Writing due FIVE days after I have commented on your RD.

    d. Monty Python online reflection due by end of next week.

3. Correlated Writing Workshop

    On a separate piece of paper, respond to the following:

    a. What question exactly does your paper answer? If you don' t know, you better focus that right now.

    b. How many resources do you have?  Is this enough?  How do you know?

    c. Make a quick jot list of the medieval ideas you have in your paper.

    d. Make a quick jot list of the modern ideas you have in your paper.

    e. Finally, write FIVE questions you have about your paper to be put on the website with your upload!

4. HW: 1) Upload RRD to website; 2) MPHG online journal due F; 3) Renaissance SG due M.

 

Thursday 3/12

 

1. Journal/Bell Ringer: What do you think of when you think of love poetry?  What do you think makes a great love poem?

2. Business:

    a. Monty Python online reflection due by end of next week.

    b. Your RD should be on our site (w/ your five Q's) - remember, FCs are due FIVE days after your RD has been commented upon by the teacher.

    c. Reminder: Renaissance SG due anytime next week.

3. Renaissance Reader's Workshop: Sonnets

    a. Pair off and read sonnets in book - pp. 298-305.
    b. For each, write a short summary of each poem’s meaning and your personal responses to it. 

    c. Try to get to them all if possible in the time allowed.

    d. Finally,read Sonnet 116 (p. 304) again, this time alone.  Write a one paragraph response to it for tomorrow.

    e. If you finish all of that early, you can work on your Renaissance Study Guides.

4. HW: 1) Renaissance SG due anytime next week; 2) MPHG Online response due by end of next week; 4) Work on CCW as needed to meet your due date.

 

Friday 3/13 (End 3rd Nine Weeks)

    a. Renaissance SG - due anytime next week.

    Finish Sonnet readings with partner.
