    Reminder: Online Writing #3 due today.

3. Beowulf/Anglo Saxon Project Workshop
    a. RRD due today/tomorrow.

    b. Work on project.

    c. Meet with teacher to figure out FC due dates, Presentation date (2/6), Your Customized Rubric.
4. HW: 1) Work on Beowulf/AS Project as needed; 2) Online Writing due tomorrow.

 

Tuesday 2/3

 

1. Journal/Bell Ringer: Part of today's lesson.

2. Business:

    a. Reminder: Online Writing due today.

    b. RRD should be done & FC dates determined.

3. Reader/Writer's Workshop

    a. Richard Wilbur's Beowulf: Distribute and Read (once silently; once aloud).

    b. Journal: ACTIVE READING: Respond to the poem stanza by stanza during oral reading.

    c. Small Group: (3 members) discuss poem, analyze for technique, generate themes

SPECIAL NOTES:

         1) Take notes throughout discussions to use for your essay.

         2)  This is prep for a full graded essay on Richard Wilbur's Beowulf.

4. HW: Project Work as needed.

Wednesday 2/4

    a. Assign: Medieval Study Guide due next Monday.

    b. Reminder: Due dates for your A/S Project.

3. Reader/Writer/Project Workshop

    a. Writing Essay - remember to post online by F/M.

        *You may discuss ideas with each other as you write.

    b. If done early, work on Medieval Study Guide or project if done.

    c. Meet with teacher to regarding A/S Projects as needed.

    d. Bring all materials for project with you tomorrow.

1. Journal/Bell Ringer: Think of all the different types of people you observe here at Davidson.  Write a 3-5 sentence description of for each of 3 of those types of people.

2. Business:

    a. Return graded work & discuss grades.

    b. Reminder: Medieval Study Guide - due next week & Wilbur Writing - due by M.

3. Reader's Workshop - Chaucer

    a. Basic Background on Chaucer

    b. Begin reading Prologue together with Modeled and Active Reading.
