1. Journal: From time to time, we all feel a little hopeless, like the world is against us no matter what we do.  How do you react in situations like that?  Describe how you feel and how those feelings affect your attitudes and approach to everyday activities.

    b. Assign: Read pp. 28-35 for Monday.
3. Reader's Workshop - Supplemental Notes & Reading

    a.  Finish background video: Beowulf & the Anglo Saxons
    b. Other background notes:

        1) How the Christians converted them, days of the week, adaptation of key words/concepts.

        2) From loyalty to doom: retribution & hopelessness.

4. HW: Read pp. 28-35 for Monday.
