    c. Turn in your notes, the notes your took on others, and today's journal.
    d. Discuss journal and presentations in general.
4. Reader's Workshop Part II:
Chopin Paper Prep Activity
    a. Complete at least Part 1 - discussion of themes/concepts - of the activity.
    b. Find your literary devices for Wednesday.
    c. Probable Chopin Paper due date: October 7.

    e. Fix one paragraph (or more) of your timed writing now that you know exactly what they are looking for.

Reader's Workshop Part II: Chopin Paper Prep Activity
    a. A few minutes to revisit Part 1 - discussion of themes/concepts - of the activity.
    b. Practice: Using your lit terms: Create 3 essential questions the author raises in book using literary devices. (10 minutes)
        *At this point you are pretty much combining Parts 1 & 2 of the Prep Activity.
        **These look like the
Chopin Paper prompts you have.
    c. Putting it all together:

        1) Open Discussion: Like?  Dislike? Edna’s Character?
        2) Move to Lit Terms: Tone, setting, foil, figurative language etc. Discuss...
        3) How does fit in with the background and modernist ideas you have encountered?  Your essential questions?

4. HW:
1) Formulate thesis and create rough outline for your Chopin Paper; 2) Reading: Supplemental Lit for Thursday.
