    a. Framing our study: The Chopin Paper
    b. Emphasis: Language, Style, Psychology
        *Go deeper than surface meaning - the connotations of language.  Shape.  Sound.
    c.
Discussion: Is the book Feminist vs. Feminine?
               Feminine: 3. effeminate; womanish: a man with a feminine walk; 4. belonging to the female sex; female: feminine staff members.
               Feminist: adjective  1. of or relating to or advocating equal rights for women

        1) Class in half: one half gets feminist; the other gets feminine.
        2)
Think, Pair, Share - then report out to your group.  One person for each group should record ideas.
        3) Spokesperson for each group describe how the book is feminist or feminine.
        4) Students comment on each point of view - and the impact on their enjoyment/appreciation of the book.
    d.
Conclusion: IF TIME: Like or dislike Edna’s character – substantiate and discuss (15 minutes)

    b. Importance of presentations: Class is expected to take notes on all presentations to prepare for formal paper to be assigned later as well as quiz.
    c. Pair off and plan research, ideas.
    d. Use computers if time.
    e. It is expected that you will visit the WebQuest tonight and bring your findings to class tomorrow.
